Discover Energy Systems is working with Gietron to support an integrated energy storage solution for residential and light-commercial projects in Canada.
The collaboration pairs Gietron’s 8 kW and 10 kW hybrid inverters with the Discover HELIOS Energy Storage System, combining inverter control, lithium battery storage, and closed-loop communication within a compatible solution supported by Canadian-based teams.
As solar-plus-storage systems become more integrated, installers need power electronics and battery storage that can communicate effectively and be commissioned without unnecessary complexity. The Gietron and Discover solution is intended to help simplify that process while providing installers with access to responsive regional support.
An Integrated Inverter and Battery Solution
Gietron develops power electronics and intelligent energy-management technologies for solar and energy storage applications. Through this collaboration, Gietron hybrid inverters are paired with Discover HELIOS energy storage using closed-loop communication.
This communication helps coordinate charge profiles, voltage parameters, and system operating information, reducing integration complexity and supporting a more straightforward commissioning process.
The Discover HELIOS ESS provides 16 kWh of usable lithium energy storage per module. Combined with Gietron’s 8 kW and 10 kW hybrid inverters, the solution is designed for residential and light-commercial applications requiring solar self-consumption, backup power, and expandable storage capacity.
